I'm an educator, a Christian, a husband, and father of two girls. I'm a lifetime fan of Aerosmith and a connoisseur of flan. Before the Bush W. administration and Fox News, I was a left-leaning independent. Now I'm a democrat. Pete invited me to contribute to CAI in part because they wanted a liberal point of view, and I definitely will provide that. However, I've pretty much given up on changing anybody's mind. I think most people who are interested in politics are pretty much hard wired into their own belief system, myself included. I do hope, however, that my life experience and perspective will add depth and balance to the CAI discourse.
